Physical Therapy Minimize
Physical Therapists assist the child with developing skills that will enable them to navigate their environment. This includes the ability to participate in family activities, self-care, social activities and games with peers, etc. to the maximum extent possible.

Each child participates in a comprehensive evaluation based on parental concerns. The evaluation includes medical history, parent interviews, observation of activities and direct assessment utilizing standard evaluation tools. In addition, school and other outside information will be included at the parent’s request. The findings of the evaluation will be shared both verbally and in writing with the family. Working as a team, the family and therapist will develop an individualized intervention plan designed to provide a successful experience for the child.

Physical Therapy services may include activities to address the following:
  • Gross motor development
  • Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT)
