The ability to communicate effectively is essential for social growth, learning and behavior management. A Speech-Language Therapist provides children with the tools needed to become effective communicators.
All Speech Therapists employed or contracted through Possibilities Northeast are members in good standing with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the Indiana Medical Licensing Board.
Each child participates in a comprehensive evaluation based on parental concerns. The evaluation includes medical history, parent interviews, observation of activities and direct assessment utilizing standard evaluation tools. In addition, school and other outside information will be included at the parent’s request. The findings of the evaluation will be shared both verbally and in writing with the family. Working as a team, the family and therapist will develop an individualized intervention plan designed to provide a successful experience for the child.
